Sunday December 23rd, 2012 6 pm PST The similarities and differences between East/Southeast Asian martial arts and Western martial systems (historical & classical fencing, pugilism, etc). Our guests will be Mr. Cecil Longino and Ms. Stephanie Zimmerman, of the Salle St. George in Seattle, Washington, and Mr. Tim Weske of Burbank, Ca. Since 2003, Mr. Cecil Longino has been a formal student of Maestro Ramón Martinez and Maestro Jeannette Acosta-Martinez, training in classical and historical fencing weapons. He is currently a certified instructor in French foil, French small-sword, Italian rapier and Spanish rapier with the Martinez Academy of Arms in New York and teaches these methods at the Salle Saint-George, his school in North Seattle. Ms. Stephanie Zimmerman began practicing classical and historical fencing weapons in 2003.
