Wednesday, April 24, 6pm EDT:The Advanced Energy Conference will be at the Jacob Javitz Center in NYC on April 30-May 1. Todays Advanced Energy Roundtable with feature the following guests: Robert B. Catell currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at Stony Brook University, New York State Smart Grid Consortium, Futures in Education Endowment Fund, and the New York Energy Policy Institute's Advisory Council (NYEPI). Mr. Catell serves on the Board of the New York State Energy Research & Developmental Authority (NYSERDA) and the NYS Economic Development Power Allocation Board (EDPAB). Dr. Yacov Shamash is Vice President for Economic Development and the Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University. As Vice President, Dr. Shamash supervises the University's three incubators, two New York State Centers for Advanced Technology, the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT), the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC), the Small Business Development Center, and the workforce development programs of the Center for Emerging Technologies. Jim Smith has held several senior executive management positions in advanced technology development and manufacturing. He has extensive experience in a variety of global markets - industrial, semiconductor, energy, military and the aerospace. Jim serves at Stony Brook University as the Assistant Vice President for economic development and is leading efforts at the Advanced Energy Center.
