Minister Boyd started the organization to help women overcome and deal with the unconceivable. Sisters Of Strength-Missouri is a non-profit organization based out of St. Louis, MO established to help encourage and build up the "Barren Women." Women who are incapable of having children and may feel inferior due to the medical and physical inabilities that accompanies infertility. Their efforts are to help encourage them emotionally and mentally by conveying a message of hope. They are still a valuable woman with a purpose and full-life. But S.O.S-MO goes even beyond this mission. They also direct women who are single mothers in need of assistance, to the proper available resources in the areas of job placement, housing, educational needs, medical assistance, proper day care for their child/children and more. “We believe in helping to stabilize the whole total woman and to ensure they possess the necessities that are needed to sustain a healthy way of living for their families,” says the Founder.
